The live themed music show that gave Columbia a reason to leave the house on a Sunday. We built the platform it runs on — and stayed on as creative direction.
The challenge
7Sunday is a live, themed music show: a different world every time, built by founder Deon Generette. That format is its greatest asset and its hardest sell. A one-off flyer can announce a party, but it cannot explain a franchise — and a show that changes its skin every edition will read as scattered unless something underneath holds it together.
Our approach
We treated 7Sunday as a brand with seasons rather than an event with dates. The identity had to survive being re-themed — flexible enough to become a 90s house party for one edition and something else entirely the next, while still reading unmistakably as 7Sunday. We designed and built 7sunday.live as the permanent home the themes rotate through: the place where the next edition is announced, sold and remembered.
The outcome
7sunday.live is live and carries the studio's credit in its footer. France Jackson continues as creative director for the show, and the studio's work on the inaugural BizArts initiative grew directly out of this partnership.
